Blinky
I have lived in Colorado the whole 26 years of my life. My Father and Mother have lived in this great state, there whole lives as well. The other day my Daughter, Father and I were just having a discussion about how television has changed so much thought out the years. We were discussing the content, the way cartoons have changed, and then I happened to mention Blinky the Clown. My Father looked at me with a look of confusion like a deer staring at head lights. He asked me “What is it that you know about Blinky, your to young to know anything about him.”. I had to explain to my Father that he was still on when I was a child. The whole day I found my self thinking about Blinky the Clown, and how many lives he impacted in the three decades his show aired on Channel 2 network. I remember getting up early in the mornings just so I can watch Colorado’s beloved clown as well as Tom and Jerry Cartoons. I was hoping that maybe you and your station would do a piece on the man who brought so many smiles to children’s faces, and help to make your station grow, as well I believe the state. Russell Scott (Blinky) is a Colorado icon who did many things for the people of the Greatest state in the Union and for the state as well. I fill that a he deserves some notoriety and a big thanks for all he has done. Who know if you did do a show about him, Blinky might put the old clown suit on for us one last time. I know I would like to see that. Thank you for your time.
